Horizon Sailing School is an American Sailing certified facility offering you first-class tuition with our friendly and highly reputable Instructors throughout the Caribbean. All of our ASA courses are taught either as private sailing tuition for just you and your friends or family onboard, or as a by-the-cabin charter where you'll learn with like-minded people and leave with new friends! Our courses are tailored around your own vacation schedule, so you can expect a true ‘liveaboard’ experience, with all your study and practical work taking place on your yacht as you sail the beautiful Caribbean.
At Horizon Sailing School, we offer a comprehensive range of courses for every level of sailor. Whether you’re starting your sailing journey, advancing your certifications, or seeking a bespoke learning experience tailored just for you, Horizon Sailing School has the course—and the instructors—to get you on the water! Please note ASA 101 must be completed on a monohull, ASA 103+ can be taken on a catamaran.
American Sailing courses take a building-block approach, meaning each level builds on the skills learned in the previous one. To progress, you’ll complete each course in sequence, creating a strong, confident foundation as you go. The good news? This doesn’t have to happen all at once. You can complete multiple courses over an 8-day Zero to Hero Course, or spread your learning out over as much time as you need, at a pace that suits you. Please note ASA 101 must be completed on a monohull, ASA 103+ can be taken on a catamaran.
